December 2012.
“Do one thing everyday that scares you.” – Eleanor Roosevelt.
CMB – Colombo, Sri Lanka.
elephants and one pink elephant
It has been quite long since my first visit to Colombo. This time, I really had nothing in mind to do. When I checked the crew list, I saw another Indonesian crew operating this flight, Maya, and so I contacted her. We agreed that we’d keep the flight. I asked her what would we do there? And she said that there is this Elephant Orphanage that she would like to check it out. Great! That sounds like a plan to me. A damn good one.

Kyoto: A Golden Red Autumn

 Ep.64
14th November 2012.
“Autumn is a second spring where every leave is the flower” – Albert Camus.
KIX – Osaka, Japan.
Golden Red Leaves and Me
For the years I have spent in my life, I have taken so many pictures, everywhere, any weather and any ages, but none of them represents autumn. It was so lucky that I got swapped in to this flight. Autumn in Japan. Well, anyway, the main objective is to capture me in a picture with autumn’s red leaves *such an objective, huh?*, but it seems that God’s got a better offer. It was November, the best time of Autumn in Japan, and I got Osaka, which is so close to Kyoto, the cultural prefecture in Japan, origin of Geishas. Got it God, I will take the best autumn picture on this trip.

Haneda: Cup Noodle Museum

Ep.62
3rd November 2012.
“They ignore you now, but they’ll need you later” – Mamofuku Ando.
HND – Yokohama, Japan.

My Ultracupnoodle!
The first flight after my annual leave was this one, to Haneda. Another port of Japan, nearest airport to Tokyo, and nice hotel to stay. I could swapped it into days off if I wanted to, just to elongated my annual leave, but this Haneda flight is to die for. After a nice 2 weeks leave in Jakarta, packed of house hunting schedule, I thought a relax day in Yokohama would be a nice escape. *oh how was that even possible?*

Cairns: From Kuranda to Great Barrier Reef!

 Ep.61
2nd- 3rd October 2012.
“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.” – R. W. Emerson.
CNS – Cairns, Australia.
i'm a fish!

It was an unintentionally flying buddy. After all the drama I made up to change my roster, I got this flight. A flight to Cairns, Australia. As it’s located near enough to the eastern part of Indonesia, good things, there isn’t winter here. And the greatest thing is that Afree, my flat mate, was lucky enough to swap in to this flight. Double lucky! We worked in different section in the aircraft, but we do have the same itinerary as soon as we arrive, don’t we? 7 hours flight and we arrived. Great Barrier Reef, here we come!
