behind.the.scene.vol.2

Ep. 2

"I like dreams of the future better than the history of the past."
- Thomas Jefferson

I’m on my last semesters of my study at Pelita Harapan School of Hospitality and Tourism, and I’m now about to take this up to the next level. I think it is the right time to start realizing what I’ve been dreamt.

After completing my six month on job training at The Ritz-Carlton Pacific Place Jakarta, I am fortunate enough to get a part time job as a course consultant at EF English First Karawaci. There, another phase of my life begun. I met new friends, from all over the world (teachers were imported from all around the world), it opened my eyes wider to the world, improves my English and also introduce me to the real world of multitasking job…handling parents, management, and kids…(can’t be worse!) yet, I still have to do all the assignment from school and manage my time.

My very first step towards my dream is making a good CV, search the internet with all possibility and vacancy to pursue my careers as a flight attendant in international airline and that includes to put my CV and email address as their mailing list.

At that time (I was 21), my dream has developed into something more specific, I want to become a flight attendant in an international airline and I do have my preferences (yes, I said preferences. Sounds awkward?). Anyway, here are my airline preferences:
1.     Emirates (Middle Eastern)
2.     Singapore Airlines (Singapore)
3.     Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong)
Well, that’s my top three and Korean Airlines, Etihad, British Airways come after those three.

I put my CV at the Emirates right away and started to search for any information regarding the cabin crew recruitment, what do they want, the specification, the requirements, and so on.

“Be specific. Know what you want, and it will guide you to choose which way and which step should u choose next.” -Me
